Dear jail,
Please take back my pt. She yelled at the top of her lungs today as she was talk to me sitting about 2 inch next to me on a chair. This lasted about 5 min. I am very patient. Lets just say there was a lot of ef ef ef's and more ef ef ef's and grunting and a staff member from another unit heard her through the walls hahahha. AND it was a social skills group bahahha. I found this amusing. There was only one other patient there too and he goes "you know you really shouldn't be yelling at her like that". I asked if she wanted to leave then she verbalized more ef ef ef's and left and then I did let her know before I unlocked the door to let her out ( I always feel like im talking about dogs when I say that ) that she cooperated very well yesterday with the treatment team and was very pleasant. Then she told me immediately "don't you try to smooth my feathers!" Well wooaahh nellie, she be no birdie last time I checked. If she was, she sure did change back to human form faster than a NY minute! and then there was peace in my group! tra la la.
Mr. Schizo though was definitely a bird today once again. Flapping his arms and running across the unit. I asked him "whats up?" and he said "Jesus!" I guess 'space' disappeared.
Finished my case study assignment! woooohooo. Anyone know any databases I can use for free? I need to research more info on activity engagement and affects on psychiatric illness.
Oh, and today made playdoh with my intern friend sarah! This is what we went to school for:)
Oh and yes, I would like to give a shout out to the wonderful Falls Church/D.C/Arlington couple, Andrew and Sarah "Martha" Festa for housing me for approx. 27 hrs last weekend, resurrected my computer (andrew), taking me to the local craft shop!/letting me use the sewing machine(sarah), making awesome cobbler/monkey bread (sarah), excelling at cranium (sarah), knowing the right way to the amtrak station (sarah) hahhahah. i mean, woops, i love them both:)
