Labile.

So today 2 out of 7 of my monthly notes were due and I finished them yesterday! ...so I had to do the rest for tomorrow and got 4 out of 5 done in record time:) We had a the game, Guestures, for the first group with my supervisor and ate watermelon/drank Pepsi in the day room on the unit. Most of everybody joined. Then I led a stress management group after lunch and had 3 people come.

Fights today? why yes! miss I-never-shower walked into the chart room when I was speaking with the physician ABOUT her, and says "I got raped last nite!" We had to reassure her that she is safe and nothing happened, then she ran out and starting throwing punches at the same male CNA and I got out just in time to see him pick her up and throw her down to the floor...literally. About 5 staff members including the doc ran over there and a male Student was called over from another unit to assist. She was brought into the 'quiet room' which is basically a 4-walled empty room nothing but a cushion in it with no light to quiet patients down. Then a nurse gave her a short of Hadol which, in her chart says she's allergic to it! Luckily the chart also said not a legit allergic reaction, but that the medication simply does not work/makes her more irritable.

Before lunch I am asked as usual by Manic lady 2 if I could bring up more craft supplies for her so she can paint wall hangings for staff/peers. (she gave me one yesterday). I came back after lunch and told her that we'd need to pace out what we give her because we don't have tons of supplies. She politely said she understood, walked away and went into her room. She came back immediately with a box of her materials and told me she doesn't want to come to any of my groups anymore, but that it was nothing against me. Then I start talking with some other patient or staff and her room is directly in my line of vision. She peaks her head out and says "Just so you know, I want nothing to do with either one of you (me and my supervisor)" and slams the door once again. It was just yesterday that she painted me this wall hanging with a piano/trumpet/ and soprano sax in pastels and said that she appreciates me in front of tons of patients hahahah...now she wants nothing to do with me...hmm. tear. labile much?
It is a shame because she also told staff she would like to get her forensic hearing asap and go back to the detention center because its better than the hospital. A lot of patients actually say that.

My little patient who scratches herself is still doing well and got her sticker this morning:) Mr. schizo hasn't been as wacky and I actually miss his flying in the day room. The doc is trying to fix his medication--this doctor has his hands full as its not just Mr. schizo, but miss I-don't-want-to-shower who is hallucinating/being delusional and combative; and now manic woman 2 plus the 3 fights that happened over the weekend.

This is my 3rd to last week! wooohooooooo...blah gotta start my research project.
